Marines, Banned From Using Social Networking Sites

The marines are now banned to use social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and myspace. There have been several views on this issue, some are in favor and some are not.

According to the Director for Command, Control, Communications, and Computers and chief information officer, Brigadier General George Allen, the ban is to prevent soldiers to compromise the protection of the units they have been deployed.

But some officials like Admiral Mike Mullen, are not in favor of the social networking ban.
