400,000 bats have died lately in New England, that leaves a huge amount of insects not eaten in the whole area and its forests. All caused by a little known virus that attacks these mammals called white nose syndrome, unknown until 2007. Scientists are scrambling to find a cure for this syndome that many say will make bats extinct very soon if this continues. That´s terrible news for everyone involved because it will leave humans, animals, forests, farms, everything, at the mercy of every bug in town.
